Accessibility

Updated November 1, 2026.

We want everyone to be able to use Chi Rave. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What we do

Every page is checked with an automated accessibility test (axe) before each release. The site works with a keyboard and a screen reader, every icon button has a name, flyers have a text description, colour is never the only way something is shown (genre chips always show the genre's name), and animations stop when your device asks for reduced motion.

Light or dark: the site is dark unless you choose otherwise. Open Me and pick Light under Display, or System to follow your device's setting. It stays on this device, and in your account when you're signed in. Both are checked for contrast, and text can be made twice as large (with your browser's zoom or your phone's text size) without anything cut off.

Signing in works with a keyboard and a screen reader: the code field accepts paste and your browser's autofill, there are no pictures to solve, and a passkey is an easier path when your device offers one. The passkey prompt (Face ID, fingerprint, PIN) is your device's own, not ours.

Known issues

  • Map pins can't be reached with a keyboard. Every event on the map is also in the list (“Show as a list”).

Tell us

If something is hard to use, or you need information in another way, tell us on the Report a problem page (choose “Accessibility problem”), or email admin@chirave.com. The person responsible for accessibility is the site's owner. We answer within 5 business days.
